Welcome to Food Storage Organizer

My name is Valerie Albrechtsen and I'm a busy mom of 7 amazing children, and Grammy to 10. I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I currently volunteer as a Provident Living Specialist in my ward.

I live in wonderful Farmington, Utah, but was raised in Yorba Linda, California. I studied journalism at Brigham Young University where I earned an M.R.S. instead of my B.S. I've also earned the title of head cook, nurse, interior decorator, chauffeur, teacher, and queen of the castle.

Our family has been blessed by following the counsel of our LDS Church leaders to be better prepared both physically and spiritually for trials in our lives. Self-reliance brings peace to me and this site is my way of sharing hope with my brothers and sisters around the world.

What is my preparedness advice to you?
  • You can't prepare for everything, but you can prepare for something. So, do something!
  • Avoid doomsday websites.
  • Do the best you can with your own gifts as you gather food storage.
  • Store what you eat, eat what you store.
  • Make food storage a natural part of your life by gathering it while you grocery shop.
I love hearing from you, but I'm busy and respond when I can. I welcome readers of all faiths and consider you my brothers and sisters. I hope you find what you are looking for at Food Storage Organizer, formerly Prepared LDS Family

When you write to me, please tell me the following so I know how best to respond:
  • What state or country are you from?
  • Are you Mormon or a member of another religion?
  • What can I do to help you?
Send your email to preparedldsfamily@gmail.com

Thank you!
