Joplin Stake Center Is Gone After Tornado. Also Read Other Survival Stories

Watch this news report on about a group of saints (Mormon's) that survived the May 22, 2011 tornado in Joplin, Missouri, while inside a women's bathroom of their Stake Center building.
Also, photos of the stake center and more of the story can be found at Church News. It is amazing to see how blessed these people were. There is no doubt they were watched over. Quite humbling.

  1. It's scary to me to see our own building hurt by a tornado...I've never seen pictures of a stake center damaged. I'm just glad the ladies survived.

  2. I would like to do something for those who have lost homes in Joplin. I was thinking about making blankets and maybe setting up a food drive. How many blankets should I make and where should I have the stuff sent?
